ArmInfo.Today Armenia marks the 25^th anniversary of independence. Festivities will take place throughout the republic. A military parade will be held in Republic Square in Yerevan at 11am. The parade will feature military hardware that includes Iskander missile systems, Buk surface-to-air missile systems, Smerch heavy multiple rocket launchers, as well as drones and Mi-29 and Su-25 planes. The parade will also feature the detachments of the Armenian Armed Forces, Military Police, Peacekeeping Brigade, Separate Special Mission Brigade, the NKR Defense Army, Police Troops of Armenia, Frontier Troops of the Armenian National Security Service, representatives of the 102^nd Russian military base in Armenia, as well as the cadets of the Military Institute named after Vazgen Sargsyan, the Military Aviation Institute named after Armenak Khanferyants, and the students of the Military and Sports College named after Monte Melkonyan.
